Cuba, North Korea, Romania and Russia all of those countries have these points in common: there is not freedom of speech or expression, not freedom of religion, not freedom of press all human rights are abolished many people and political prisoners are tortured or executed, fear and intimidation keep the people in check. Their presidents Fidel Castro, Kim Jong Il, Nicole Ceausescu and Joseph Stalin have being impose their power, rude manners, ambition to control and manipulate the people by executions, torture, imprisonment, spying on the people, starvation, not freedom of technology, not travel overseas. For example North Korea has succeeded in producing a sort of new race by starving and stunned dwarves keeping them in dark, kept people illiterate and fearful and brainwashed into hating others. Even today they are not allowed to use any kind of technology; most of annual budget is funneled to the military while the people suffer.
The West made many attempts in North Korea to dismantle its nuclear weapons in exchange for food and economic help but Kim Jon Il keeps holding out for more. In Cuba Fidel remains in power for more than 50 years and his image appears in stores, classrooms, national T.V and taxicabs during his regime all newspapers were closed and radio and T.V under control.
In Cuba law limits freedom of expression, association assembly and movement of press, Cuba is officially atheist, the government maintains tight control in religious institutions, the prisoners were ill treated with electroconvulsive therapy without anesthesia. Cuba deny to the International Committee of Red Cross access to its prisoners. Cuba was named one of the ten most censored countries in the world, citizens cannot leave or return to Cuba without obtains official permission.
Joseph Stalin rewrites the history changing information in textbooks and photographs as they never existed. He increase the scope and power with secret police and intelligent agencies infiltrate in others countries to ensure that they remain pro Stalin, Nicole Ceausescu during his regime the ordinary people starved while he and his family lived a lavish lifestyle in a luxurious palace thousands of people were torture or killed for political reasons, some were held as psychiatric patients, he encourage families to spy on each others, the economy in these countries is struggling but the governments posses modern nuclear or sophisticate weapons while the people died by famine and starvation.
Any similarity with the novel 1984 of George Orwell is merely causality.
