Gandhi : Question 7

How Gandhi resited totalitarism: He organized protest by farmers, urban laboures, he assumed the leadership of Indian National Congress and he implemented campaigns to ease poverty, woman rights, build religious and ethnic amity, he swore to talk the truth and advocate others to do the same, he ate vegetarian food as a social protest, he protested against racism, his major resist to the totalitarian governments was the principle of NON- VIOLENCE. He boycotted the foreign goods especially British goods, he encourage people to boycotted British educational institutions, he exhorted all the people of the CIVIL DESOBEDIENCE and when the British government appointed a new constitutional reform without included any Indian Gandhi and people boycotted the commission and after that they won the independence and the British government negotiated with Gandhi to free all the political prisoners.
It is amazing how the power of one can made a difference and change the situation of one country.
