Twitter, facebook and youtube in the middle east.
Egypt, Tunisia and middle east are relied in technology, social media internet, twitter youtube. But countries like Yemen and Libya internet penetration is low.Social media in Egypt play an important role against the censorship many protesters stand against torture, poverty, corruption and unemployment using twipic, youtube, facebook to spread videos and photographs.
However countries like Cairo, Alexandria internet and cell phones connections are been disruptive. Has become known as the internet BLACK HOLE the goverments of Burma, Cuba, North Korea, Syria,Turkmenistan and Vietnam they have effectivle blocked targeted internet access information. The goverment of Iran is planing his own Muslum internet to censor all the information accessed. Despite the effort of these goverments to censor information these people had to paid with their blood distribute social media information they are using social media network as their weapon.
It is powerful the advancement of technology and the organizated mass to destroyed and finished many years of oppression and humilliation.
Totalitarian Countries
Cuba, North Korea, Romania and Russia all of those countries have these points in common: there is not freedom of speech or expression, not freedom of religion, not freedom of press all human rights are abolished many people and politicals prisoners are tortured or executed, fear and intimidation keep the people in check.Their presidents Fidel Castro,Kim Jong Il, Nicolae Ceausesco and Joseph Stalin have being impose their power, rudde manners, ambition to control and manipulate the people by executions, torture imprisoment, spying on the people, starvation, not freedom of technology, not travel overseas. For example North Korea has succeeded in producing a sort of new race by starving and stuned dwarves kepping them in dark, kept people illiterate and fearful and brainwashed into hatting others. Even today they are not allowed to use any kind of technology, most of anual budget is funnelled to the military while the people suffer.
The West made many attempts in North Korea to dismantle its nuclear weapons in exchange for food and economic help but Kim Jon Il kepts holding out for more. In Cuba Fidel remains in power for more than 50 years and his image appears in stores, classrooms, national T.V and taxicabs during his regime all newspapers were closed and radio and T.V under control. In Cuba law limits freedom of expression, association assembly and movement of press, Cuba is offially atheist, the goverment maintains tight control in religious institutions, the prisoners were ill treated with electroconvulsive therapy without anaesthesia. Cuba deny to the International Committee of Red Cross access to its prisoners. Cuba was named one of the ten most censored countries in the world, citizens can not leave or return to Cuba without obtain official permission. Joseph Stalin rewrite the history changing information in texbooks and photographs as they never existed. He increase the scope and power with secret police and intelligent agencies infiltrate in others countries to ensure that they remain pro Stalin, Nicolae Ceausesco during his regime the ordinary people starved while he and his family lived a lavish lifestyle in a luxurios palace thousands of people were torture or killed for political reasons, some were held as phsychiatric pattients, he encourage families to spy on each others, the economy in these countries is struggling but the goverments posses modern nuclear or sophisticate weapons while the people died by famine and starvation.
Any similarity with the novel 1984 of George Orwell is merely casuality.
GANDHI
How Gandhi resited totalitarism: He organized protest by farmers, urban laboures, he assumed the leadership of Indian National Congress and he implemented campaings to ease poverty, woman rights, build religious and ethnic amity, he swore to talk the truth and advocate others to do the same,he ate vegetarian food as a social protest, he protested against racism, his major resist to the totalitarian goverments was the principle of NON- VIOLENCE. He boytcotted the foreign goods especially British goods, he encourage people to boycotted British educational institutions, he exhorted all the people of the CIVIL DESOBEDIENCE and when the British goverment appointed a new contitutional reform without included any indian Gandhi and people boycotted the comission and after that they won the independence and the British goverment negociated with Gandhi to free all the political prisoners.
It is amazing how the power of one can made a difference and change the situation of one country.
Police use technology and electronic devices to track criminals
Nintendo Wii has become the latest weapon against crime the criminals deny to know each other but they have to entered both names in the console proving that their are associates, when they play, police said that suspects movements can be found searching their transactions on their Tesco, clubcards, social network and facebook this method to catch criminals is actually a BIG BROTHER. Technology has made a huge impact for police as they use technological tools to identify and prosecute criminals,Police is using wireless internet connections to share data about criminals and tracking software using Ipads with GPS on it to catch criminals. This software is available free from Apple.
Police around the world is using wireless and video- survillance network to track down suspects before patrolmen arrive the scene. Police is exploring a new technology the UAVs about the seize of model airplane can replace helicopters and be more difficult for criminals to see and give the police instant access to an overall view of an emergency situation.
The technology used in a proper way can help people to have a better life and protected from criminals and to find the real truth in many cases.
